Low Memory Issue
"Unable to complete previous operation due to low memory."
Many Android smartphone users may encounter this error message when uploading photos using browsers like Google Chrome or Opera Mini. This issue is particularly common with Google Chrome. Even devices with 2GB of RAM can experience this problem. Follow the steps below to resolve the issue:
Step 1
- Go to Settings and look for Developer options.
- If Developer options is not visible, navigate to About phone and tap on Build number multiple times until you see a message indicating that developer options have been enabled.
- In Developer options, adjust the following settings:
- Uncheck (disable) Strict mode enabled.
- Uncheck (disable) Don't keep activities.
- Set Background process limit to Standard limit.
After completing these steps, attempt to upload the photo again. If the problem persists, proceed to Step 2.
Step 2
- In Developer options, tap on Select runtime and choose Use ART.
- Reboot your device.
Try uploading the photo once more. If you still encounter the error:
- Connect to a Wi-Fi network and open the Play Store to allow automatic updates for Google Play Services.
- Update your browsers to the latest versions.
If the issue remains unresolved, consider upgrading your device's firmware.
